Student Leaders: Empowering Others to Excel

Student Leaders are those who have gained sufficient knowledge and skill to teach others as part of their requirements for being promoted to higher belts. While Louisiana Martial Arts Ministries attempts to teach basic Japanese words and phrases, there is currently no formal term for student leaders below Senpai. This is because the term “Kohai” refers to the relationship between junior and senior students, not to a specific leadership role.
